New hairstyle

I went for a hair cut this morning. I think my hair is 7 inches shorter now. I feel like I am 2kg lighter now. It is a relief because I have long hair for so MANY years. Now I have layer bob so I believe it makes me look younger. And a new hairstyle for a new job. A great refreshing start isnt it?

I want to see the whole world

The weather is getting colder and colder now. Every year at this time I am sick. Of course I am sick, the temperature just goes down from 20degrees to 7degrees now. I have cold, flu, body ache and everything. At this time, it makes me miss Malaysia even more.

I am PPP newest member

I am so happy that my PPP application is finally approved. Now I have more opportunities to work online. I love to write, I love to earn more money and I love to online. So, what's better than signing up with PPP?

The first time I read blog was end of last year when I went back to Malaysia for holiday. I was so addicted to it and started my own not long after. I was blog-hopping all the time and I read alot of blogs. It makes me happier to know that I can earn money blogging. That's when I found out about PPP. All bloggers that I know signed up with PPP, many people blog full time and earn a decent money through PPP. Of course, I do not want to be left out. In the future, I might want to give up my job and be a full time blogger. I don't have to get stuck in traffic on the way to work and I don't have to set my alarm clock to wake up early for work. All I need is a laptop, a comfortable work space at home and PPP. Easy !

Through PPP, I also discovered a lot of websites that I've never heard before. Besides more money for me to spend for Christmas and holidays, I also expanded my knowledge, I learnt new things and I make more friends. Isn't that great?

Everything's planned

I couldnt help but keep thinking abt what happened. Now I understand. Everything's planned more than a mth ago. There are total 4 waiters (not including the new one) - Severine, Ricardo, Marie and me. They do not want to sack Ricardo because he is very popular among the customers (but he is lazy). They do not want to sack Marie because Conrad likes her (they are good friends). They do not want to sack Severine because she is good friend with the MD. So, who else? To made me redundant, they have to at least need some reasons. They need some reasons why I am the chosen one and not the rest. So, after 2 weeks they complained that I was not wearing apprioprate shoes on duty. Hello!! I've been wearing that since day1 and now only u complain. After they complained, I changed my shoes immediately liao. After 1 week, they complained that I talked to much. Well, I do sembang with the chefs sometimes but not TOO MUCH. I still do my job. And i m not the only one that sembang. Everyone chit chat with each other but we still make sure job's done. So....tada, now they have the shitty reasons to ask me to leave. I am not upset that I cant work there anymore but I feel that I m unfairly treated. Bo Tat !!

Went for a legal advise

I was unfairly treated by this bloody company. They said i was made redundant because the company is not making good money but they still hired new staffs just 2 weeks ago. So i went to the Citizen Bureau Advisor for some legal advise. I explained everything to them. I explained that I was asked to leave, with 2 weeks notice and no compensation. But the advisor told me there's nothing i can do because i worked there less than 1 year so i m not entitled to any compensation. Duh !!! This is so unfair to me.

I was betrayed....

Monday
There was a loud 'pop' sound from the kitchen. Went to check and found that the lid of my slow cooker broke. For no reason. I dunno why. And I started to think that something bad is gonna happen.

Tuesday
Went to work as usual. Lunch was OK, no complaint and everything was fine. When it was dinner shift, Boyd asked me if anyone from management had a little talk with me yet? No......I asked him why and he said nothing. 30minutes later, Jason (Duty manager) came and told me that the restaurant is not doing very well and there will be some redundacy. 2 kitchen staffs and 3 floor staffs. I am one of the them. What the F !! Why me? And he started to give a full shit of reasons why I have to go. I never wear appropriate shoes on duty, I was talking too much....Yeah right, where's the 1st warning, 2nd warning and warning letter ?? You cant just sack me. And he said it is redundacy not sacking. I was made redundant, not sacked. But u just hired 2 new staffs last week !! But Jason said that is not his decision. It was from Conrad. I am given 2 weeks notice.

Thursday
I feel even more pissed off when i think abt this. I went to tell Jason no thanks for the 2 weeks notice. I m gonna leave end of this week. I am giving u 2days notice. Jason kept saying sorry for what happened and it was beyond his control. If possible in the future when Conrad is not here anymore, he will get me back. Yeah, thank you but no thanks, you 2heads-gay-snake.

Friday
Jackie asked me if I work next Tuesday. I was a little shock, and I assumed that she knew I m leaving. But how did she know since I told nobody. So I told her tomorrow is gonna be my last day. She looked shock. Actually she wanted to invite me to her Hallowen party on Tuesday night. Duh !! So, now she knows I m leaving. Just to make myself feel better, I told her I am not the only person going. Boyd is made redundant too. When I told Jackie this, she showed no reaction. Apparently, she knew abt this like more than 1 mth ago. Jason told her. She knew that the company is gonna ask me, Boyd and Ayasa to leave. Why didnt u tell me? She said she cant because it wasnt confirmed at that time. Bullsh*t. Now I realised. More than a mth ago, she was trying to advise me to join S restaurant. She was commenting how good this restaurant is and persuaded me to go. She was trying to hint me at that time but i didnt listen. Because I have no reason to change my job. Why didnt u tell me earlier that they gonna ask me to go. Why do u have to hint me and not telling me the truth. I thought we are friends and u didnt tell me this? I m angry, I am dissapointed, I feel betrayed, I feel like SH*T!!! Bloody sh*t! And now i recall that at that time, Jason even promised that he will give me more hours if i quit my part time job. You are treating me like a fool. You know that bloody Conrad gonna ask me to go and u still ask me to quit my part time job! I feel like sh*t. I feel like sh*t. I feel like sh*t. I am treated like a fool. I am so stupid. I am angry. Why am i treated this way?

After I've calmed down, I decide that this decision is the beginning of a better future for me. Anyway, I will be going to S restaurant the week after next week. S restaurant is in Mayfair. A happening place in London and is frequent by celebrity like Will Smith and Christina Aguilera. Thank you b*tthead Conrad!

Home-made sushi

Since I went to the oriental supermarket today, I bought some ingredients for home-made sushi rolls.

I mixed 2 cups of japanese rice with 3tbsp of vinegar, 1/2tbsp of sugar and a pinch of salt.

Grill some unagi and deep fried some prawn tempura.

Remember to wash ur hands before start to make the rolls.

Look good or not? Tastewise not so good because I put too much vinegar and too much rice on the first roll. Too much vinegar makes my rolls so sour. The first roll I made, I put too much rice and it was so huge I couldnt taste the unagi.

My smoothie

The barman in my previous job make a very nice strawberry and banana smoothies and I was craving for it. So, I went to buy a new blender just now and tried to make one. I used fresh strawberries, bananas and orange juice. It turns out to be so horrible. Maybe it is too pekat and Ive ran out of orange juice. So no choice hubby had to finish all - abt 3 tall glasses. Hubby didnt complain so I asked him.

Me : Wow, u finished all. Is it good?
Hubby : Hmm...it is ok, not bad.
Me : Maybe, I can open a shop one day and sell smoothies. Can sell or not?
Hubby : Cannot.
Me : Why? U said not bad.
Hubby : No one else gonna drink ur smoothies. Only ur hubby will force himself to finish all !

I feel sipek siok now. Customers complained abt B and R. For the past few days I really beh siok R already because he always 'steal' my customers. He will take all the will-leave-good-tips customers. He won most of the times because he is much much more experienced than me. But I have to be sabar with him because if I start up a fight with him, I will definitely lose because he is like a big brother in our restaurant now. Ok, now back to the customers' complaint. The customer walked past Jason and started to say how rude and bad attitude our staffs were. When Jason asked what happened, the lady just pointed at B and R and said the manager (B) and the staff (R) has very bad attitude and very rude. Tai sei !! Apparently, both of them were not being very professional throughout the whole service. They kept laughing and making fun at each other when they were serving the table. So, the ladies became so pissed off !

Chritmas shopping

It is still early for Chritmas shopping, but I just cant wait. With so many nice clothes hanging out now, who can resist? And the wheather is getting colder and colder everyday. So, I have the excuse to buy myself 1 new jacket, 2 coats, 2 tops and I am loving it. Hubby wanted to buy a bag at £65 and I started to complain how expensive it is and everything. So, he decided not to buy it....hehehe. But hey, the most expensive coat I bought was only £55.

Dim Sum day

Hubby and I went for dim sum at this restaurant in Chinatown. They are doing 50% promotion for weekday only. And this promotion has been on-going since last year ! Hubby doesnt really like their dim sum but i think they are good at a cheaper price. A basket of siu mai after discount is only £1.30 compared to £2.40 at other restaurant.
