TVB mistake

I was watching the TVB ' To grow with love' and found 1 stupid mistake. In the scene, Mylioe and Andy were sharing 1 umbrella because it was raining heavily. However, at the background I found 1 apek standing/walking slowly without any umbrella under the so-called 'heavy rain'.

Can you see the apek with white shirt and short pants at the background.

Goth dating

The first time I came to UK, I had a culture shock. There are so many differences between UK and Malaysia. One of them is Goth subculture. I've never seen them before in Malaysia. The first time I saw them was in Camden Town, London. Goth subculture was started in UK in early 1980s. They are usually associated with their sense of fashion and music taste. Their styles are usually in the range of death rock, punk, dark, fetish, vampire and usually can be seen in black clothing and make-ups.

Although it began in UK, we don't see them very often. It is not something we see everyday on the street. Since there are not many Goth and not many people are into Goth, I wonder how do they meet another Goth and make friends? There is a dating website that is aimed at them. Goth singles can join this website and start to upload their photos as well as browsing for profiles and photos of other singles. They can choose anyone they wish to correspond to. Besides, there are forums and video chats as well. The most important thing is, there is no charge to join as a member. This website gives a very good opportunity to all goths to meet more goths from all over the world. They might even meet their soul mate and fall in love.

So sampat....

Since few weeks ago, we had new housemates. We rent a room to a young couple. They are students and part-time workers. However, the boyfriend always spend so long in the bathroom. Sometimes, he can stay in there more than half an hour. I really dun know what he was doing in there. *curious*. Last week, I was waiting for the bathroom for more than 30minutes. I waited and waited for almost 1 hour and he was still in the bathroom. Me, being a nice person didnt want to knock the door and shout 'HOI ! Get out Now !!'. Instead, I rang L (who was outstation) and started to complain that this guy is spending forever in the bathroom. Without informing me earlier, L decided to ring this guy's gf who was in the bedroom and asked her to knock the bathroom's door and ask him to be quick. Isskkk...Cant believe that L actually did that...Malunya..Now, the couple is gonna think that L and I are so sampat.

Getting a property in UK

I went back to Penang last year November for 6 months. During that period, I worked as an engineer and at the same time, I bought a new flat. I was not actually looking for a property at that time, but a friend of my aunt wanted to sell her flat because she was moving to Singapore soon and she was selling it at a cheaper price. It was about RM22k less than market price. It was a good bargain, isn't it? Of course I wanted it immediately. Not to waste time, I was in the rush to get all the loan and paperwork done. It took me so long and I remember spending so many hours in the lawyer's office and bank to get everything settled. There were too much hassle.

Now I am in UK, I don't have to stress myself anymore if I want to buy a property. Thanks to Berkley Vittoria Independent Financial Services Ltd. It provides adverse credit mortgages services. I can just let them do all the hard works for me. They will do everything, from getting the suitable loan to arranging insurance for me. The most important thing is they deal with most major lenders in UK and will be able to get the most competitive rate for me. They also do home visits, which is so convenience for all their customers. With so many useful services from them, I will definitely go to them when I get a house in the future.

Cute little muffins

Went to Sainsbury this morning for my weekly grocery shopping. And they have these freshly baked cute little muffins with chocolate chips. Couldn't resist and I bought 1 packet with 16 mini muffins. Since L is outstation again, I think I am going to take forever to finish the whole packet. Hopefully, I can finish them before the expiry date. Otherwise, if L finds out, he gonna nag, nag, nag again, saying that I am wasting our hard-earned money and food.

My own motorhome

When I was young, I watched a lot of Mickey Mouse cartoon series. What I love most about Mickey Mouse was the motorhome that he lives and drives in. He traveled with his motorhome and it has kitchen, bathroom, bed and everything you can find in a complete house. Just like any other young girls, I started to imagine that I live in the motorhome too.

It is my dream to own a motorhome. Motorhome is not very popular in Asia, especially in Malaysia. But this is UK, where motorhomes are very popular. It would be great to have it here in UK, especially it is holiday seasons now. Hubby and I would love to travel at this time of the year. If we have our own motorhome, we can travel easily from one city to another city. We don't have to join the crowd in the train or coach. We don't have to look for hotels. We can just depart at any time whenever we are ready. Moreover, the sky is dark at 4pm and it is freezing cold everynight. So, we definitely do not want to spend hours outside waiting for the train or coach. We can stay in the comfort of our motor home with all the appliances we need. There is no luagage to worry and of course no hassle during the rainy days.

New job new faces

I started a new job 2 weeks ago and oh my, it is a very busy restaurant. They are 5x busier than my previous job. Although my collegues are friendly and nice, I am exhausted. Every night I come home feeling so tired and weak and I dont even have time to check my email and read blogs. I think I need to find another job. At the same time, I miss Malaysia so much. Why do I have to work as a waitress in London when I can be an engineer in Penang?? This question keeps coming to my mind for the past few days. I really, really feel like packing my bags right away and fly back to Penang. But I dont want to leave L here!! I am so 'fan'.

Home cook

These are the foods I cooked for the past few days. Usually, I use sambal sauce or sweet chillie sauce. It is always the same old boring sauce because there is nothing else in my fridge.

My all-time favourite wantan soup with chicken bones.

Chicken with sweet chillie sauce and lots of ginger.

Getting an insurance

Hubby plan to buy a car soon. It is more convenient for us because we always work until very late at night. There is less public transport at night. London is a very busy city and accidents happen everywhere, no matter how careful you are. Car insurance is a must. There are so many insurance agents in UK, but which one should I choose? I log on to this website to compare car insurance. It does the research for me and I will definitely get the best insurance rate and discount if I apply online. Besides car insurance, I can also look into the different types of home insurance they have in case hubby and I plan to buy a house soon. I don't have to worry leaving the house for a long period of time anymore. When all my belongings in the house are covered, I can go for a long holiday break without any worries.

Sweet treat

I was feeling a little bit better this morning so hubby (L) decided that I can have some desserts since I've been living on porridge for the past few days due to cold/flu. So, here we are at our favourite Dessert House for a quick treat. We had tauhu hua, red bean with vanilla icecream and coffee cake.
